GCSE Success 2018

Beauchamps High School Outstanding GCSE Results for 2018

Beauchamps High School once again lived up to its “outstanding” Ofsted rating as students celebrated fantastic GCSE results this week. With an exceptional number of students securing themselves a good pass in both Maths and English, they had a great deal to be excited about!

This year, students will receive a number grade from 9-1 in most subjects although a few subjects retain the A* - G grading. This is the same across the country, and all year 11 students will receive the same mixed set of results. This change is the same across all exam boards. The new GCSEs cannot be easily compared to the old ones – while we’re able to draw some broad comparisons between the old and new grading systems, the new GCSEs are fundamentally different qualifications.

Top performing students include:

Celie B - 9,9,9,8,8,7,7,6,A,A,A*
Alex C - 9,9,9,8,8,8,8,5,A,B,C
Chloe J - 9,9,9,8,8,7,7,A*,A,B
Joe M - 9,9,9,8,8,7,77,B,C
Connor W - 8,8,8,8,8,7,7,5,5,,B,B,C
Alice-Maria S - 9,8,7,7,6,6,6,5, B,B,C
Peter C - 9,9,8,8,7,6,6,A,B,B,C
Amelia M - 9,8,8,8,7,7,7,7,6,A,B
Imad A - 9,9,9,8,8,6,6,5,A,A,B
Josh S - 9,8,8,8,7,6,5,A,B,B,B

Congratulations to all our successful students who have worked so hard over the years – their perseverance and dedication has been rewarded with a superb set of results. We are particularly excited that high numbers of pupils have chosen to remain at Beauchamps High School and attend the Sixth Form, taking advantage of the range of A Level and BTEC courses which we are now offering. Also thanks to the staff for their efforts and inspiration and to the parents for their continued support.
