careers activities in selected Professional Development lessons.\u00a0 In addition to this curriculum teams offer specialist careers experiences complemented by a wide range of careers related enrichment events and activities including visiting speakers, trips & visits.\u00a0<\/p>\n All students are offered a 1:1 meeting with our Careers Coordinator for bespoke advice and the Careers Hub operates an open-door policy for all students throughout their time at Beauchamps.<\/p>\n We believe work experience is an essential part of a student\u2019s development, and all Year 12 students are expected to take part in a two-week work experience activity towards the end of their first year.<\/p>\n We encourage all students to regularly check their Edulink messages for careers information and be proactive in following up the many opportunities that are offered throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n Beauchamps subscribes to the Unifrog Universal destinations platform from years 7-13.\u00a0 This comprehensive online platform is designed to support students, educators, and schools in career guidance, academic planning, and personal development and is the bedrock of our careers who wish to progress to university are offered excellent advice and guidance on the UCAS process through the tutorial and PD programme.\u00a0 This includes using Unifrog to research, log and narrow down their preferred university opportunities followed by advice on how to write personal statements.\u00a0 This process is supplemented by visits from universities and visits to University fairs and open days.<\/p>\n Students wishing to apply for degree apprenticeships are introduced to the Essex County Council Apprenticeship Hub amongst other apprenticeship websites and intermediaries.\u00a0 Alongside students wishing to enter Post 18 employment these students participate in CV writing events, mock interviews and assessment centre events to prepare them for the rigors of recruitment and selection processes.<\/p>\n Students are actively encouraged to \u2018be curious not judgemental\u2019 during their numerous careers’ activities, exploring all career paths and possibilities.\u00a0 We encourage having a Plan A, Plan B and even Plan C ready at the end of their careers journey at Beauchamps so students are confident and prepared for their next steps Post 18.<\/p>\n
