Student Leadership

Beauchamps Sixth Form Ambassador programme

The 6th form student ambassador programme aims to develop student leadership skills through providing opportunities for students to run extra-curricular groups, take the lead on initiatives such as student voice and peer mentoring as well as host school events such as Parents’ Evenings.

The School Lead Ambassadors lead the team of over 75 student ambassadors and senior prefects with the help and support of the senior ambassadors.

Applications for ambassadors are annual and are through an application and formal interview process. Successful ambassadors wear a different lanyard to visually signify their leadership role within the school environment.  Lead Ambassadors wear the same lanyard but have an additional badge to highlight their significant contribution to the school and to highlight the prestige of the position they hold.

Each stage of this process is carefully crafted to put our students ahead of the competition when it comes to university and job interviews in the future as this programme is completely unique to Beauchamps High School and therefore provides an experience that is rare at such a young age.

Any questions about the programme should be directed to Mr Beaumont, Associate Assistant Head.

Our Ambassadors

Our New Student Leadership Team

Congratulations to the 44 Year 12 students who have successfully become Ambassadors. These Ambassadors form our Student Leadership Team, which includes our Prefects (now Year 10 students) and all of our Student Voice Representatives. Our school community has voted in our new Lead Ambassadors, Ashleigh and Lawrence, who were the successful candidates out of the seven that applied and presented to our student body in assemblies prior to the Easter break. Well done to all the candidates for their outstanding presentations during the assemblies, and congratulations to Ashleigh and Lawrence. I look forward to working with you all over the next 11 months to ensure students’ voices are heard, supported, and listened to.

The Student Leadership Team is divided into five categories: Community & Charity Team, Diversity Team, Mental Health & Anti-Bullying Team, Student Voice Team, and Subject Mentoring Team. Each Ambassador will dedicate their time to supporting students across the entire school, addressing areas from academic progress to mental health, and raising awareness of key PSHE and citizenship topics.

They will strive to enrich and enhance students’ experiences at Beauchamps. I wish them every success and will be here to support and facilitate their ideas.
