Transition
Transition Update W/B 29th August
Good morning Y7’s,
As we enter our last full week of the holiday, we start preparing ourselves for the new term ahead. I know this can bring about a number of different feelings for each and every one of us – all of which are completely natural. Some will be excited and looking forward to the new challenge, others may well be more nervous and unsure. When we make a big change, we all go through a mix of feelings. I can assure you that many students across the country, who like yourselves are transitioning to secondary school, are feeling the same way.
Remember, this Thursday (29th August) you have been invited in to meet your form tutor and have a chance to ask any questions you may have ahead of your start, next week.
As a way of sharing how you are feeling, I have uploaded the last chance to earn some merits through writing a poem about becoming a member of the Beauchamps family. I very much look forward to reading through these. Again, thank you to those of you who have shared your ‘reading photos’ or ‘about you’ from the last two transition projects. If you have not entered one, or all of these, it’s not too late and you can get them sent to me this week.Â
Enjoy the week of sunshine ahead and I very much look forward to seeing a number of you on Thursday.

Transition Update W/B 11th August
I trust you are all having a great summer and enjoying the nice weather! I have enjoyed seeing the interesting places that you have been while completing our reading challenge – showing us that you really are creative! I will get those merits ready for each of you in September!
It has been fantastic to watch the athletes of Great Britain competing on the world stage at the Paris Olympics. I wonder how many of you have a hobby or talent that we would not be aware of? Why not share this with us and take part in the ‘All about you’ challenge that is now on the website?
Stay safe and enjoy the rest of the holiday.
Kind regards,
Mr. Fitzsimmons  Â
Transition Update W/B 29th July
Welcome to all of the upcoming Y7 students who are joining us in September and becoming a valued part of Beauchamps Family. I hope you all had a good last week as a Y6 students and now have started to enjoy the summer holiday.
I have attached a curriculum guide so you can find out more about the things you will be learning about in the Autumn term and beyond.
Also attached is there is a challenge for you to take part in! There were some amazing entries, last year – I wonder if any of you can find the most unusual place to take that photo?
Have a great break and I look forward to seeing a number of you in that last week when you have the opportunity to meet your form tutor.
